Old Capitol manufactures custom wood windows for historic restoration, high-end residential, and architectural projects. Our windows are built using traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery and can be manufactured to match existing profiles, details, and historic conditions.
We produce true divided light (TDL) sash using insulated, single-pane, or restoration glass, with traditional or modern weather-sealing systems as required. Our capabilities include double- and single-hung windows, fixed sash, casements, transoms, awnings, storefront assemblies, and other custom configurations.
We build our windows with future generations in mind. Our preferred TDL construction remains serviceable throughout the life of the window, allowing individual panes or insulated glass units to be replaced in the event of breakage or seal failure. Simulated divided light (SDL) construction is also available upon request as a cost-saving alternative.
Every window can be tailored to the project, including custom sticking and muntin profiles, sash horns, wood species, glass, hardware, weatherstripping, and historic details.
